Abstract
The spectrum of Be III has been studied in the wavelength region 80-6200AA. The energy of the ground state 1s21S0 has been determined as 1241253+or-10cm-1 below the first ionization limit. Members of the ns, np, nd, nf series have been identified as well as one 5g term. About 30 Be III lines are classified and good agreement is obtained with existing theoretical calculations. Keywords
