Abstract
Haematological values were determined in 100 full-term Northern Nigerian neonates. The mean values obtained were: haemoglobin 14 g/dl, haematocrit 0·42 l/l, reticulocyte 4·4%, platelet 173 × 109/l, and leucocyte 9·253 × 109/l. The haemoglobin and haematocrit showed a skewed distribution towards low values. Keywords
