Abstract
Susceptibility to the pyrethroids permethrin and fenvalerate was determined for several populations of Liriomyza sativae Blanchard and L. trifolii (Burgess) leafminers from various crops in Hawaii. Susceptibility varied significantly among populations of both species. Populations with a history of extensive insecticide use had 2- to 71-fold higher LC50’s than did a L. sativae population from a site with minimal insecticide use. L. trifolii was significantly more tolerant to fenvalerate than permethrin. L. trifolii was generally more tolerant to both pyrethroids than was L. sativae. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
