Abstract
The rate was lowered in 7, unchanged in 1, and elevated in another athlete during training. A period of moderate physical training raised the metabolic rate in 2 and lowered it in a 3rd non-athlete. The possibility that cellular metabolism may become more efficient is suggested as an explanation for the varied influence of physical training. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
