Abstract
To evaluate a possible effect of diltiazem hydrochloride (DTZ) on digoxin (DX) kinetics, a single oral dose of DX (0.5 or 0.75 mg) was given with and without DTZ (30 mg 3 times/day for 1 wk) to 6 healthy subjects. DTZ increased plasma DX concentrations of 3, 4, 6 and 12 h and decreased renal clearance of DX from 3.05 .+-. 0.126 to 2.31 .+-. 0.234 ml/min per kg. There was no significant change in absorption t1/2 [half life], peak concentration, peak concentration time, distribution t1/2, biologic elimination t1/2 or apparent volume of distribution with DTZ.This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
