Abstract
Pion inelastic scattering at 180 MeV from the low-lying collective states of and is analyzed using distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations with no free parameters and transition densities obtained from electron scattering. These calculations adequately reproduce the pion scattering data. No significant vs differences are observed at low-momentum transfers.
