Abstract
A technic has been descr. for the intravaginal assay of minute amts. of estrogens by the intravaginal route. The smallest amts. of estrogen detectable by this method in mice are 0.0001 [mu]g. estrone, 0.00005 [mu]g. estriol, 0.000005 [mu]g. estradiol. Aqueous assay fluids are preferably applied to the vagina as a mixture with equal parts of glycerol or propyleneglycol or monoacetin. Clear-cut results may be obtained in 2-2.5 days, instead of within 4 days. Keywords
