Abstract
The paper presents a new field-theoretical approach to a 2D passive scalar advected by long-range random delta-correlated-in-time velocity field. The Gaussian form of the distribution for the stretching rate of a passive scalar cloud is derived and its parameters are found explicitly. Keywords
