Effects of Annealing Conditions on Superconducting Properties of BiCaSrCu2Ox Ceramics Prepared by the Melt Quenching Method

Abstract
The effects of annealing conditions (annealing temperature, time and atmosphere) on the superconducting properties of BiCaSrCu2O x ceramics prepared by the melt quenching method were examined. Although the high-T c phase (T c above 100 K) was detected in the samples annealed at temperatures around 1133 K, its amount was very small. It was found that the samples annealed at temperatures above 1073 K in a nitrogen atmosphere were also superconductors with T c above 80 K.
