Abstract
The micro-some-like particles in milk exhibited quite uniform lipid composition and occurred both on the fat globules as globule membrane and free in the serum of the milk. These particles of the serum are probably the site of the biosynthesis of glycerides in freshly secreted milk. After palmitic acid -1 -C14 was added to the fresh milk, the particulate matter of the milk was separated by sedimentation and the lipids from the fractions extracted and separated on thin-layer chromatographic plates. Significant labelling of the ester lipids, particularly di- and triglycerides and lecithin, was demonstrated. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
