Abstract
The structures of pig and sheep insulin were determined by subjecting them to partial hydrolysis and comparing the peptides produced with those obtained from cattle insulin. The amino acid sequence in the phenylalanine chains is identical for all 3 insulins. The glycyl chains are the same except for 3 residues in positions 8-10 inclusive. In the cattle insulin this sequence is alanyl, glycyl, valyl. Keywords
