Abstract
A pyrethrin dust containing 0.11% pyrethrins applied to boxes of stacked tomatoes in the field or applied to pallets of tomatoes at the receiving station or at the cannery, afforded excellent protection from egg deposition by Drosophila for a period of approximately 24 hours. Thorough application is essential and the benefit derived appears to be due mostly to a repellent action rather than to killing flies. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
