Abstract
Sera from individual animals of the following species[long dash]human, monkey, dog, guinea pig, rabbit, cow, horse, pig, rat and chicken[long dash]were tested for proteolytic enzymes activated spontaneously and by streptokinase and staphylokinase using a casein digest method. Dogs, monkeys, rabbits and guinea pigs showed the greatest proteolytic activity with staphylokinase, while humans again showed the greatest activation with streptokinase. The other species showed little or no proteolytic activity. Keywords
