Abstract
Fast‐atom bombardment negative‐ion mass spectra of various natural destruxins (cyclodepsipeptides) using a glycerol matrix are investigated to clarify their regular pattern of fragmentation. Deprotonated molecules allow characterization of the molecular weight. Also, at lower masses, anion Y of significant intensities permit the determination of their amino acid sequences. Keywords
