Abstract
IN the past decade there has been considerable interest in the physiology of medium-chain lipids and their use in various diseases. This is reflected by the publication of an entire book on the subject1 as well as two review articles.2 , 3 Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) is the term used to describe one form of neutral lipid, triglycerides, which contains fatty acid molecules with a chain length varying from 6 to 12 carbon atoms.
