Abstract
The contributions to anion transport in AgBr by vacancies and vacancy pairs have been obtained from analysis of anion diffusivities and the temperature dependence of the Frenkel defect formation energy, as deduced from diffusion of sodium tracer. At high temperature, the two contributions are comparable. For the single-vacancy process, the activation energy and pre-exponential factor are anomalously large. Keywords
