Abstract

The production of 12 849

K^{0}

's by

K^{+} d

charge exchange at 615

\frac{MeV}{c}

and the subsequent decays occurring within 6

K_{s}

mean lifetimes were observed in the Brookhaven National Laboratory 30-in. bubble chamber. The results are

Re δ = - 0.0017 \pm 0.0072

(where

δ

is the

CPT

-nonconserving parameter),

\frac{rate (K_{s} \to π^{+} π^{-})}{rate (K_{s} \to π^{0} π^{0})} = 2.22 \pm 0.08

, and

\frac{rate (K_{s} \to γ γ)}{rate (K_{s} \to all)} <~ 2 \times 10^{- 3}

(90% confidence level).
