PatchWork: layout from schematic annotations

Abstract
The authors present PatchWork, a silicon assembler which describes layout generators graphically with annotated schematics. The system is highly extensible and provides a unified framework in which both basic and powerful layout generators coexist. Several major chips have been built using this system.Keywords
