Abstract
An adaptive scheme is devised which derives the error between the state of a discrete linear system and that of a reference model to zero. The scheme can also be used to simultaneously identify all the parameters of the plant when the input is sufficiently general. Liapunov's direct method is used to establish the global asymptotic stability of the error function. An example is provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the method. Keywords
