Abstract
From a set of 12 factors thought to be related to eating quality, only percentage soluble solids and penetrometer estimates of flesh firmness were useful in deriving a predictive equation. A practical grade standard might be 10% minimum solids with upper and lower limits for flesh firmness of 2.0 and 1.0 kg force. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
