Abstract
The intertidal zonation of the dominant algal species in Beer Bay, south-east Devon, was examined in relation to substratum by means of plane-table maps and transects. The dominance of Ulva lactuca on colonies of the reef-building worms Sabellaria alveolata was noted, but the distributions of Fucus vesiculosus, F. serratus, Gigartina stellata and Enteromorpha spp. showed no correlation with substratum. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
