Abstract
Hemorrhagic phenomena were noted in a 60-year-old man with primary amyloidosis. There was a prolonged prothrombin time (Quick test), a decrease in factor V and VII complex, moderate hypofibrinogenemia, prolonged plasma thrombin time, a defect in blood thromboplastin formation in the plasma and serum component and a slightly raised fibrinolysis. The presence of a heparin-like anticoagulant was inconclusive. Keywords
