Radio frequency measurement of the dielectric constant of conducting liquids with tan $\delta$ up to 500

Abstract
An analysis is given of the bridge and sample cell used in measuring the dielectric properties of aqueous solutions of electrolytes in the frequency range 01-10 MHz. Some problems arising in such measurements are described and criteria are given by which the acceptability of the measurements may be judged. The results of measuring solutions of simple electrolytes are shown to meet the criteria.
