Abstract
The multi-objective and cost-benefit approaches to the analysis of land-use problems are briefly contrasted. Cost-benefit analysis is reviewed in the context of its application to land-use planning to provide a synthesis of the methodology for land-use problems. The manner in which the final decisions on major land-use problems might best be made is also discussed. Keywords
