Abstract
The first study of positron impact ionization with fully determined kinematics is reported. A molecular hydrogen target has been used to investigate the possible occurrence of electron capture to a continuum state of positronium. A small broad peak in the spectrum of the ejected electron has been found which provides the first clear experimental evidence for the process. Keywords
