Abstract
Higher-order anti-Stokes pulses in the VUV region were enhanced efficiently by steepening the leading edge of a pump pulse with the use of a Pockels cell. The shortest observed wavelength of 122 nm resulted from the 10th-order anti-Stokes pulse of a KrF excimer laser and had a peak power of 10 kW, while the 5th-order anti-Stokes pulse at 164 nm had powers of greater than 1 MW.Keywords
