Abstract
In confluent cultures of mouse kidney cells, infected by polyoma virus, induction of cellular DNA synthesis occurs only in the cells in which the virus multiplies. In addition, the virus ability to induce DNA synthesis is inactivated by [gamma] radiation at the same rate as its infectivity, suggesting that the integrity of the whole viral genome is required for the induction of cellular DNA synthesis. Keywords
