Abstract
Skin homografting between female rats of the Sprague-Dawley and Long-Evans rat strains significantly increased urinary histamine excretion. The peak elevation of histamine excretion occurred within a 3 day period of the time of observed rejection. A lesser elevation in histamine excretion was found after autografting. The possible significance of these findings with respect to the effector arc of the immune response to homotransplanted tissue is discussed. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
