Partial reinforcement of the classically conditioned eyelid response in the rabbit.

Abstract
Two groups of 10 rabbits received classical, eyelid conditioning and extinction training. One group was given 220 acquisition trials and reinforced 100% of the time. A 2nd group was given 440 acquisition trials and reinforced 50% of the time. Partial reinforcement produced a decrement in acquisition performance, but no greater resistance to extinction than continuous reinforcement.
