Abstract
Interstitial lung macrophages from tuberculosis-susceptible I/St and tuberculosis-resistant A/Sn mice demonstrated significant constitutive differences in gene expression levels, whereas in vitro infection of these cells withMycobacterium tuberculosishad only a modulatory impact on gene expression. We conclude that intrinsic gene expression profiles are an important determinant of tuberculosis pathogenesis in mice. Keywords
