Abstract
A tough, IR, transparent dielectric has been fabricated from a sintered ZnS:diamond composite. Far-IR reflectivity measurements of the reststrahlen band with volume fill fractions as large as 33% diamond give results consistent with the predictions of the effective medium approximation. Keywords
