Abstract
A tentative map of chromosome I of the yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegypti has been proposed. The order of the genes ru (rust-eye), re (red-eye), m (sex), bz (bronze-body) and w (white-eye), has been definitively established. However, large variations in linkage distances were obtained in different experiments. The most representative values obtained from repeated tests are presented and possible reasons for heterogeneity of linkage data are discussed. Keywords
