Abstract
The mechanisms by which molecules are adsorbed in the porous material rise a great deal of discussion. The use of labelled substances in association with a microbreakdown of the media constitute a method by which these mechanisms can be analysed. The adsorption and/or diffusion of molecules can be followed inside the porous structure. This method is discussed and an example is proposed: the adsorption of phenol in activated carbon. Keywords
