Abstract
The Feshbach optical-potential formalism yields resonance parameters which may differ slightly from those usually defined. By employing the definition of resonances in terms of poles of the analytically continued matrix, corrections are derived which reconcile the two sets of parameters. These corrections are illustrated using a simple, solvable scattering model.
