Abstract
A system is presented to realize the function of a linear regression analyzer using analog charge-coupled device (CCD) tapped delay lines to perform fast parallel processing. Such systems are normally implemented using digital computing techniques giving a nonreal-time output. The analog approach discussed in this paper is capable of providing results in real time at the sampling rate of several hundred kilohertz, with the added advantage of reduction in power consumption and physical size. Results obtained from a prototype system are presented to demonstrate the principles of the system operation. Keywords
