Abstract
When taurine (1.5 - 4.5 g daily) was given to human subjects it increased markedly the proportion of taurine conjugated bile acids, whereas glycine (20-25 g daily) did not change the bile acid pattern. The findings are discussed in relation to the conjugation of bile acids under normal and pathological conditions. Keywords
