Abstract
The possibility of the detection of forbidden multiple quantum coherences have been analysed in the pure NQR spectroscopy of spin I = 7/2 case. In this work, the seminal idea of multistep process is employed to study the double quantum coherences (Δm = ± 2) namely, | ± 1/2> ↔ | 5/2> and | ± 3/2> ↔ | ± 7/2> in zero d.c. magnetic field. Density matrix theory with a suitable basis set of single transition operators is used to carry out the spin dyamics calculations involved in the present work. Multiple pulse sequences for use in the experimental study of double quantum NQR have been suggested. Keywords
