pH stability and activity curves of pepsin with special reference to their clinical importance.

Abstract
With human pepsin, 70% maximal peptic activity is present at pH 4.5. It is irreversibly inactivated at pH 8. Clinical implications in therapy of peptic ulcers with antacids are noted.This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
