Abstract
Precise de Haas-van Alphen phase measurements for the lens orbit in Cd with the magnetic field in the basal plane show that the Onsager phase factor for this orbit is and not as predicted recently by Hosack and Taylor. A spin-splitting zero is observed in the (10¯10) plane, giving a value for .
