Abstract
Three patients with acquired-B antigens were reported whose red blood cells [RBC] manifested T- and Tk-activation. Tests using purified Arachis hypogaea and Bandeiraea simplicifolia (BS II) lectins and RBC T, Tk or T and Tk-activated by bacterial [Bacteroides fragilis ssp. distasonis] enzymes in vitro, suggest that the acquired-B phenomenon, T-activation and Tk-activation result from the action of different bacterial enzymes. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
