Abstract
The rate constants for the bimolecular recombination of gaseous ions in three different systems have been determined. The results suggest that the recombination rate constant is not particularly sensitive to the chemical identity of the ions, and that complexes between ions and neutral atoms are important even at pressures below 10 mm Hg.Keywords
