Objectives— Apolipoprotein E (apoE) exerts antiatherogenic effects but precise mechanisms remain unclear. We here investigated the effect of apoE on intracellular signaling by interleukin-1β (IL-1β), a proinflammatory cytokine present in atherosclerotic lesions.Keywords
