Abstract
The dependence upon magnetic field at 4.2 K of the Hall resistivity and the transverse magnetoresistance of polycrystalline alloys of Ag or Cu containing typically a few hundred at. ppm Mn has been measured in fields up to 7 T. The qualitative behaviors of the spin and skew components of in such systems are identified, and evidence is given that associates the former component with the Béal-Monod-Weiner mechanism. The temperature dependence of the spin component of in alloys has been determined in the range 1.7-80 K to extend the concentration range of previous data. The result is a clearer qualitative picture of the isothermal concentration dependence of this component.
