Abstract
The average number of prompt neutrons per fission has been measured for using a scintillator tank that has a neutron detection efficiency of about 70%. The measurements at six energies between 1.0 and 14.7 MeV have an accuracy of ±2%. A least squares fit to the results gives (MeV).
