Abstract
Commercial strain gauges are found to give linear reproducible results as pressure monitors for low temperature experiments. Calibration done at 77 K remains correct with 2% absolute accuracy at 4.2 K. The independent pressure calibration at low temperatures was done by precise measurements of the change in the critical magnetic field of indium. Keywords
