Abstract
We report the first observation of the charmless vector-vector decay process . The measurement uses a data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric collider operating at the resonance. We obtain a branching fraction of . An analysis of the helicity-angle distributions gives a longitudinal polarization fraction of . We also measure the direct--violating asymmetry .
