Abstract
This species, known as an inhabitant of the fur of rabbits, has also been found in the hair of cats and of a dog. In Denmark 3 records had been published previously of the occurrence of dermatitis in the owners of cats infested with this mite. The authors add a new instance from Copenhagen, where 9 people became more or less affected with a papulous, intensely itching eczema, whenever they had been in intimate contact with a group of 7 Angora cats harboring the mites. When the cats were treated with either a derris soln. or DDT powder, their scratching subsided and no further symptoms were observed in man. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
