Abstract
Two cases of “cold” (simple) haemolytic anaemia are described. The serological investigation showed conclusively that the sera of both patients contained an anti-I antibody and that their cells were I positive. The antibody found is thus a true auto-antibody. This is in keeping with the findings obtained previously in the “warm” (hyperimmune) type of haemolytic anaemia. Keywords
