Abstract
A series of experiments were conducted to define temperature limits for puparial mortality. Median lethal temperatures and population tolerance were estimated for a variety of puparial ages and test conditions, including both single and repeated exposures. It is concluded that in the Zambezi Valley and middleveld of Rhodesia high temperatures may contribute to overall field mortality, but no such contribution would be expected from low temperatures experienced in puparial sites.ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: FÜR PUPARIEN VON GLOSSINA MORSITANS ORIENTALIS UNTER KONSTANTEN TEMPERATUR‐BEDINGUNGENEs wurde eine Reihe von Versuchen zur Festlegung der Temperaturgrenzen für die Puparienmortalität durchgeführt. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
