Abstract
Tb/Fe multilayers whose thickness ratios of Fe to Tb layers were 1/1 and 1/2, were prepared on glass substrate by means of rf sputtering method. Fe layer was polycrystalline state when its thickness (dFe)w as greater than 17Å. For dFe≤17Å, the Fe layer became amorphous. Films of dFe nearty equals 17Å exhibited small magnetization and spin glass-like magnetization curves, because of the antiferromagnetic nature of amorphous Fe. Owing to the change in the crystallographic structure, the magnetic properties also varied. Keywords
